DECA Competition

Thank you all for a wonderful conference. Win or lose, I’m so proud of you all!

Hamilton Wenham DECA had a great weekend at the State Conference. I am so proud of all 109 members who represented our school. View the result and photos from the conference here: HW DECA Results States 2024.

As we move towards spring, here are upcoming DECA events for all DECA members: 

• 10-Minute Trainings: Be on the lookout for our spring series of 10-Minute Trainings in topics like resume writing, creating a LinkedIn profile, time management techniques, and more! Keep an eye on Google Classroom and an ear out for announcements.

• Karaoke Night April 5 in partnership with Friends of the Arts: Bring your friends and your best singing voice to this musical community event. 

• HW’s Got Talent April 10 in the Ferrini Auditorium: Do you have a talent to share??? Previous acts have included: singing, dancing, instrumentals, bands, comedy skits, and magic tricks! Guest judges will be awarding prizes for the winners.

How can you help? 

Remind your child it’s all about experience and we support them regardless of how they place. Encourage them to review this Role Play Guide, come to a practice session, and sign up for the Mock Competition. Confidence is the best skill gained at DECA and it comes from all of us making sure that each student knows we believe they can do it! 

Competition Dates: 

• April 26–May 1, 2024: International Career Development Conference (ICDC) Anaheim, CA: Must qualify through State Conference, Design Contests, or other DECA Competition; Applications for Leadership Training at ICDC released in March: Spots are limited!
