HOSA - Future Health Professionals
About HOSA- Future Health Professionals
Calling all future health professionals! Interested in learning more about various health topics, participate in real life health scenarios, and go to regional competition in March to hopefully reach the state conference in Texas? Then HOSA is the perfect club for you! For those of you who know what DECA is, HOSA is extremely similar to that, just focused directly on health care. First meeting is Wednesday, September 18th in Ms. Pawson's room (124) right after school. New members welcome! Be there 🫵❤️🩹@hw_hosa
HOSA, officially known as HOSA-Future Health Professionals, is the career and technical student organization (CTSO) specifically dedicated to preparing students for careers in the Health Science career cluster. HOSA is very similar to the structure and functions of DECA, but rather than focusing on business-related fields, it focuses on healthcare. HOSA strives to promote interest and develop skills for health-occupation careers through competitive events, networking opportunities, community service, and leadership! Through this chapter, we will heavily emphasize the importance of community service projects, fundraising, and working with other organizations. We’ll also encourage members to participate in competitions, allowing them to choose from a variety of healthcare-related competitive events to further enhance their technical and leadership skills.
